Knox D'Arcy eyes opportunity in Egypt

Showing typical entrepreneurial spirit, Knox D'Arcy has moved into Egypt with plans to open an office in Cairo despite the recent turmoil.

International management consultancy Knox D'Arcy has shown characteristic entrepreneurial spirit by expanding into Egypt whilst many international businesses are staying clear.

Speaking from Cairo, Knox D'Arcy's Principal, Paul Weekes commented, "Despite the current internal trouble it is very much 'business as usual' for Egypt's large manufacturing base and these companies have shown tremendous interest in the services we offer." He added, "We have our first Project underway and hope to use that as a springboard to build a locally based office, employing Egyptians and training local talent to serve the local market. In this way we are doing our bit to help grow the Egyptian economy which has so much to offer as an exporter."

The base in Cairo will also serve as a gateway to the Middle-East and the Arabic world.

In the short term the Egyptian operation will be managed via the Johannesburg office.
